Sweet Tea and Skeletons
A Cozy Mystery with a Southern Secret
by Juniper Vale · Cozy Mystery
Renovating a porch uncovers bones and a 1974 guest book. Cedar Bend's garden club has been keeping secrets in plain sight for decades.

Juniper Vale grew up between Austin and her grandmother's porch in the Hill Country, where every scandal arrived with sweet tea and a witness who swore they saw nothing. She writes cozy mysteries for readers who want charm, community, and a body in the garden—not on the page. Two Juniper Vale mysteries are on Kindle now, with more Hill Country whodunits in the release queue.
Before turning to fiction full-time, Juniper worked as a rural community journalist, which means she knows every diner regular by name and exactly who borrowed whose alibi. Her mysteries are rooted in place: county fairs, church potlucks, ranch gates left open, and amateur sleuths who ask the wrong questions loudly. Juniper lives on a small ranch outside Fredericksburg with two rescue horses, an opinionated barn cat, and a porch she uses for plotting at sunset. She believes the best whodunits leave you fond of every suspect—including the guilty one.
2 on Kindle · 8 coming soon. New Emberline titles release on Kindle about once a week—romance first, then mystery, thriller, women's fiction, and literary contemporary fiction.
